░ Product Review: Maybelline New York Makeup Remover ░

Bought this product a week ago and I was really happy to see it on  display on Maybelline's stand in Watsons. It's a 40ml/1.411 FL OZ bottle and its ophthalmologically and dermatologically tested. I tried it as soon as I got home, and it works perfectly. I finally found the perfect waterproof mascara remover! This is it. Just use a cotton ball, or a cotton pad and pour an adequate amount of solution on it. Oh, and you gotta shake it before use. A part of the solution is actually like, oil on top of water. Something like that, so you gotta shake it. This small bottle cost me P99.00. Very inexpensive indeed. I haven't seen the larger version of this, but there is. And it costs P199.00. Prices again, have been marked down. Maybelline's on sale!

Greatest news yet? The Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is now available in Manila! Cost below P500.00 Can't wait to get my own! I loved it ever since I saw Michelle Phan use it on her Double Lines tutorial. Perfect.

So this is just a quick quick entry and I hope y'all enjoyed it!

░ Update: Hello, Beautiful Brown ░

Had a trip to the salon today! Decided to get a new shade for my hair. First option was Medium Golden Brown. It wasn't available so I had to pick a shade which is darker and that would be the Dark Golden Brown shade. So how about telling you guys about the whole process? Wish I filmed the whole thing...would've been my first on-the-go vlog. Anyhoos... first was shampoo. Then blow drying, then sectioning of the hair, then the application of the color in cream form, then sat for 2 whole hours and waited for the color to really come out great. After the second reapplication of color, waited for another 15 minutes. Then rinsing was next in line. After that was application of hair mask. Smelled soooo wonderful! It was for the hair to regain its natural shine and moisture, I'm pretty sure because the chemicals that were applied on my hair & scalp were really really really strong. I actually felt a burning sensation on my scalp but glad it faded after a while. After that was shampoo again. Then blow drying and then styling, and then done! The price? Well, my hair is like super long--below the waistline to be exact. So, you'd expect a high price for this.
I super loved the gay who did my hair. He was an absolute darling. I think he was speakin' in Cebuano or something. I couldn't understand. But he was really great! He handled my hair well. They even asked if I had undergone any re-bonding treatments, and I said no. I get that all the time. I think it's because my hair is long and straight. But it's just the way it is. Au naturale.
He was very particular about checking my hair and combing it from time to time. Really great. They call him "Mother" over there... Such a great head stylist. I think he's the manager.
So that ends my little experience today. Filming tomorrow!!! Excited? I am!

░ Makeup Haul: Tripod+Acrylic Nails+Hello Kitty Wipes ░

So I finally bought myself a tripod. Finally. I can now forget having the trouble of handling my Cybershot whenever I film! Thank goodness for tripods. I bought a KT-3110A tripod from a company named Ketai. Anyhoos, I bought this right after school. I immediately went to the mall and went in the nearest gadget shop and asked for a tripod. I was tapping my fingers all the time because I was in a hurry. So the salesman tried it out on my Cybershot W130 and it was definitely perfect-o. I paid P395.00 for it, less 15% so it was marked down to P380.00. Good price for such a good tripod. My dogs sniffed it all the way! They were actually curious. I showed this tripod to my boyfriend Paulo and he kept pointing out faults. Haha, he's just like that--he's very particular about the durability of things... Anyway, he approved about it in the end.

I bought acrylic nails! They come in sets, of course. WISH French Nail Set. I bought this from Watsons. My favoritttte store ever. Paulo asked me to buy something for him, and I just couldn't help but check out the makeup stands and more! But I swear I resisted myself from buying makeup and cleansers since I'm still in the middle of trying out the stuff which I bought last week... So this nail set cost P99.00. Perfect for people on the go. I decided to make a tutorial out of this. And it's actually already uploading in YouTube so watch out for it! The set contains a nail file, 24 acrylic nails, glue, & a wooden stick (for putting the nails in place). I bought the pink acrylic nails with a french tip style. I definitely love them. Only pet peeve it that they're too long. So you really have to clip and file.
NOTE: NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO'S INTO SPORTS. They will break. And we all know that. These nails are just for fancy parties and dates and stuff...

Last but not the least, also from Watsons,  Hello Kitty Wet Tissues! I was passing by the tissues section and I couldn't help but notice this beautiful red thing. I have an addiction to red stuff. And pink, too. So I just couldn't help but put this in my basket and paid for it in the end. It only cost P25.00. Inexpensive! "An Apple A Day..." Hahaha. This is LOVE.

That's all for now.

░ Update: Holly Ann-Aeree's Scarf ░

This may not be such a big deal but I have the same scarf just like what Holly's wearing in this vlog of hers! I have one in pink! Cool. I bought this from a local department store for about P300.00.

░ Update: Holly Ann-Aeree ░

Eeeeeeeeek! She is so nice! She actually replied to my wall post for her! I love her! So I found out about her through Ate Noe's post. She posted Holly's link and I decided to check her out! And she is amazing... It may actually take more than a day for me to finally finish watching all of her videos but I don't really mind. I was really surprised because unlike other gurus, she actually replies to her fans! One great thing that I love about her. Next thing is that she's Asian! Korean to be exact, and she looks soooo pretty! I love her flawless skin. And her tutorials are really great. I've watch about 4 of her videos this afternoon and I intend to watch more of them tomorrow--especially when summer kicks in!
To Holly Ann-Aeree: You are definitely a beautiful person inside out! Keep on uploading videos Holly! And consider me a fan of yours!

░ How-to: Salvage Your Lipgloss ░

I was organizing my makeup boxes and realized that my MAC Dazzleglass Lipgloss is already running low. I remembered Michelle Phan's video on how to save your lipgloss so I decided to try it out and see if it really works. So continue reading below and see the result:
So as you can see, my MAC DazzleGlass Lip Gloss is already running out. I stored it lying on its side hence the messy distribution of the gloss inside the container. But as we can see, even if it was stored upright, it would've still contained only a quarter of the container.
This is part of the MAC Cosmetics set my boyfriend's mom sent to me as a present last year and I really don't want to use it all up at once and I wanted to salvage it.
So I watched Michelle Phan's video again on how to save your lipgloss and followed the super easy procedures. First, get a glass and pour in hot water. Not boiling nor lukewarm. Just the right amount of heat would be the best option.
Next you place the lipgloss inside and wait for 15 minutes.
Take it out from the glass.
Dry the bottle with a towel or a tissue paper.
And voila! It's almost three-quarters full! This was such a helpful video from Michelle Phan. I suggest you watch it. What're you waiting for? Salvage your lip glosses  now!

░ Makeup Haul: Pond's, Nichido ░

The # 1 thing on my wishlist at the moment. Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual. Just imagine the ideas I could get from this book! I'll be getting this for myself soon! It costs P1,235.00 in the Philippines. Available at NBS branches everywhere. My makeup-books love affair doesn't end there. I still have other makeup books to buy! And the best part? All of 'em are available in the country!

This is one of my latest finds. By latest I mean about 6 hours ago. Right after school I went to the mall and gave Watsons a visit. They were on a sale. Actually the whole mall was on sale. So I bought makeup, as usual. But I'll yak about that later one. This is St. Ives Elements Olive Cleanser and Scrub. So I grabbed an Olive Cleanser and placed it in my Watsons basket. Price wasn't available so I asked the saleslady to get it for more. She came back in about 10 minutes and told me, "Ma'am hindi pa po namin alam yung price. Kasi bago lang po." ("Ma'am, we still don't know the price 'cause it's new.") I asked her then if I could still buy it now. She said no. Oh okay. You go display all of the bottles of Olive Cleanser and NOT let people buy them. Great. Just great. I'm definitely going back for those babies. I can't wait to try 'em out. I love St. Ives!

The latest addition to my skin care products. Pond's Flawless White Visible Lightening Day Cream. Okay, I do not want to become whiter. I don't believe in whitening products, besides, I am okay with my complexion. I don't see it as a problem whatsoever. I bought this day cream to lighten blemishes/scars on my face. The VAO-B3 Complex in this cream fades away dark spots and blemishes & this cream protects the skin from harmful UVA & UVB rays. I kinda go gaga over products which give protection against the sun because the sun nowadays is really harsh. Too harsh, even. And I don't want to risk being burnt under it, or worse, develop skin cancer. We can never be too sure. I want to question one thing about this, though. The fact that from P385, its price dropped down to P199. I am really wondering why. Regarding its packaging, I really love it. Comes in a pretty silver and pink box.  An info note inside, and then the pretty container which is shaped beautifully.  I'm going to try this product for 1 week and I'll give you a good review about it. Whether it works or not, bad sides, good sides, and a lot more.

Finally a lip pencil. Nichido Lip Pencil in LP04 Rosette. A light rosy shade which would be perfect for finishing any matte look. This costs P100.00. I'm going to try it out soon and I'll give y'all a great review on it.

Another shade of eyepencil for my makeup collection. Nichido Extra Waterproof Eye Pencil in Dark Brown. This would be a perfect shade for my brows. I'll publish a review once I try it out. For only P60.00.

░ Beauty Tutorial: Semi-Smokey Eye with A Twist ░

Here is what I have come up with this morning. I call this the "Semi-Smokey Eye with A Twist" Look. So you can probably guess why I added "with a twist" in the title--the loud purple eyeliner is the reason.

I used Nichido's Color Intense Eye Pencil in Deep Plum 06 for this. For P80.00 only! And they're available in different shades. Visit any Watson's store and get your own now!

I used my MAC QUAD's pearl white shade as a base, next for the outer V I used a dark shimmery violet shade which faded to a grayish black color after blending; I applied Maybelline's Volum'Express Cat Eyes Mascara and as you can see, my lashes are really really curled up; and then the eyeliner would be the last step. I applied it along my upper waterline down to the inner tear duct, and on the lower waterline I applied it halfway.

This is an easy loud eye makeup to achieve! I hope you try it out for yourself!
Love and kisses, Say

░ Makeup Haul: Nichido, Ever Bilena, St. Ives ░

Hello, everyone! I'm here to share to you the products which I bought last week (I bought all of these from three separate shopping days) and I'm going to give you a review about them.
*I bought all these from Watsons. That place is my haven. It is by far, my favorite shopping place.
I'm going to start with Nichido products since majority of the new products in my makeup nook came from this company.
Nichido Final Powder in So Natural
This is a final powder which gives a "flawless" finish and it sets foundation in good. I like this product, but nothing can ever take Maybelline's Clear Smooth Extra Powder Foundation's place in my heart. I've never used loose powder before, and I think Nichido's Final Powder would be perfect for light touch-ups. This costs P150.
Nichido Bronzing Powder in Go Bronze
I don't understand why this product has to have bajillions of glitters in it. That is my pet peeve about this product. Bronzing powder should make you look bronze, tan, & yeah, shimmer a BIT. But this product makes you look SHIMMERY all over. I don't even get why it's called a "bronzing" powder. I think they should've just called it "Shimmer" powder. This costs P150.
Nichido Professional Kabuki Brush
I am in love with this. I've been looking for a kabuki brush ever since I've joined in this crazy makeup world and now I've got one! It costs P238.00, not that expensive and really worth the money. Its brush is really soft and smooth. It spreads loose powder out evenly and perfectly. I recommend everyone to buy this product.
Nichido Color Intense Eye Pencil in 06 Deep Plum
Another of of Nichido's effortlessly beautiful eye pencils. I haven't tried this one yet, so I'll just edit this statement once I get to. But I'm pretty sure it'll be great.
Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Mauvey & Pink Flame
I bought this product mainly because I wanted to try it out and a fellow makeup guru of mine, Ate Noe, encouraged me to buy Ever Bilena products. I don't regret buying these matte lipsticks. The Mauvey shade was the first one that I bought, and I wanted another shade, so I bought Pink Flame. I'll be buying the other shades, soon and I'll let you know how they are. They cost P125.00 each.
St. Ives Timeless Skin Mineral Clay Firming Mask
This is the best mask I've ever used. I am a user of St. Ives since time immemorial, and now they've changed the look of their products and came up with more! This product is great because I guarantee you that it'll tighten and firm your face. I honestly saw positive changes on my face after 1 use. Clearer, more radiant skintone and less breakouts. It deeply cleanses while tightening and firming. I highly recommend you to buy this. It costs about P190++ I'm just not really sure.
My makeup nook is really overpopulated! I don't know if that's the right term, but they're all crowded already. Time to buy a bigger home for them. And Ace Hardware's got all the sizes! Check it out.
I've uploaded a tutorial on achieving a simple and beautiful look and a vlog featuring the products listed above. Visit www.youtube.com/saytiocoartillero for more information. They're the most recent uploads.
