Basic & Advanced Makeup Workshop in QC (November 22, 2014)

Last November 22, we had a Basic and Advanced Makeup Workshop held at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City. This batch was filled with beautiful ladies and it was an extremely fun session. Everyone got to take home a 12-pc brush set from Beauty Cosmetics, makeup from Rucy’s Vanity, handouts, certificates, and all of them were able to try out different brands of makeup that Joyce and I presented!

I’m doing a review on Neutrogena’s Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to help you decide whether you should give it a try or not.

I first tried this product when I was in Hong Kong—and ever since, I fell madly in love with it.

Things I like about it:

1. It INSTANTLY melts the makeup on my face
2. It removes even WATERPROOF makeup (mascara, liner…etc)
3. One wipe is enough to remove all the makeup on my face (I guess this will depend on how much makeup you have on)
4. It smells pleasant (really clean-smelling scent)
5. A pack of 25 wipes for P350.00 is not bad!
6. You don’t have to rinse your face after using the wipes. You can immediately go to sleep!

Things I don’t like about it:

1. The one and only—it has a semi-oily residue which may bother a few people.

(IN THE SHOWER!) Pore-fect Brush First Impression Review!

Hi everyone!

I just uploaded a brand new video on my channel and it is all about the "PORE-FECT BRUSH by The Mestiza Hub! I first heard of this product from my good friend Joyce Sola; at first I thought it was a makeup brush! But it turns out, it’s not!

What is it?

A deep cleansing facial brush with 450,000 ultra soft and superfine fiber bristles, gentle on skin even the most sensitive ones.

What can it do?

• Deep-cleanse: removes hidden dirt, whisks away dead skin cells and impurities in pores. Great for removing makeup.
• Gentle exfoliation: makes skin smoother and brighter
• Skin-tightening: promotes blood circulation hence restores skin’s vitality.

How to use it?

1. Wet the brush with water and add a small amount of your facial cleanser.
2. Gently massage your face in a circular motion.
3. Once cleanser has been thoroughly massaged on the face, wash off skin with water or a warm, moist towel.
4. After use, be sure to rinse the pore cleansing brush and squeeze out excess water.
5. Hang in a well ventilated area for drying and optimum upkeep.

Shelf life for the Face:

3-6 months; after which, it can be used for the body.

I tried it for the first time and caught my reaction on cam!

I found the bristles of the pore cleansing brush EXTREMELY soft. Really. You won’t even feel it scratching your skin!

During my first wash, the brush stripped away ALL the traces of makeup left on my face. All the pigments were seen on the Pore-fect Brush! On my second wash, it was clear that there were no longer any pigment trapped in the brush—which means the first wash was able to take away all the dirt, grime, and makeup!

I think using this Pore-fect Brush is a method I would choose over ‘just used my hands to lather the cleanser on my face’ just because the Pore-fect Brush gets deep into the pores gently; and thoroughly cleanses my skin better [than just using my hands].

I honestly see myself using this brush every single day—given that I wear makeup most of the time; I need all the cleansing I can get.

I totally recommend this product to you guys, I think you will love it as well.

SHAVING MY LEGS + Aftershave for Women Review & Demo

Hi everyone,

I have a brand new video up on my channel and it’s all about SHAVING MY LEGS!

There are numerous ways of removing hair on the legs, underarms, and the bikini area—but none of them is as fast as shaving. Usually when I am in a rush, I don’t get to go to the waxing salon anymore so I just reach out for my shaver, and voila! Instant, smooth, and hair-free skin!

The shaver I use is from Intuition, and I like it for the soap surrounding the blades which allows the blades to glide smoothly on my skin without leaving nicks and cuts.

Before, I didn’t really have an idea on what type of shaver to use; and I remember using a shaver for men on my legs, and it ended up really bloody. Yep, those nicks and cuts are not cute at all!!!

After care for the skin after shaving is a MUST.

Although I use a product which allows smooth gliding of the blades, it doesn’t mean that I should stop there. My skin is especially dry on my legs, that is why I see to it that I use my aftershave!

I’ve always seen men use aftershaves. Never women. But that changed when I was introduced to the Dr. Severin Aftershave for Women!

It comes in this white jar (200ml). Inside it is a clear gel which I lather onto my skin after rinsing [after shaving my legs]

Love Desserts Buffet Experience

A few weeks back, Mark & I visited my cousin whom I haven’t seen in so long. She’s the owner of the very first & original dessert buffet restaurant in Manila—Love Desserts Buffet!

I personally have never been to a “dessert-all-you-can” restaurant and the experience was very new to me!

Upon entering Love Desserts that day, the place was packed. We certainly have a lot of sweet-tooth in the house!

On the dessert buffet table you will be a variety of cakes, sweets, cookies, snacks and many many more!

My favorites? Definitely brazo de mercedes, the SUPER MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE with leche flan on top (omg how sinful does that sound?!), the SUPER soft and delicate red velvet slices, the silvanas…alright, I could go on and on and on about this!!!

Love Desserts’ cakes are baked FRESH every single day, so I guarantee you won’t get  stale serving EVER.

I like how homey the restaurant is. Definitely a perfect place for hang-outs!

Love Desserts Buffet also has a crepe station where you can ask the staff to cook the crepe for you—whatever way you want it! Big, medium, small…with chocolates, fruits, marshmallows, syrups…etc! The combinations are ENDLESS.
